What is the most interesting case you have seen at Care?

I had a German shepherd puppy come in for lethargy and not walking properly. After it was in the room, it seemed to have many neurological issues that were causing random barking, tilting of the head, possible deafness, blindness, and overall disorientation. It was really cool to watch our team work together to get this puppy some relief!

Why did you decide to get into the veterinary field?

Growing up my family rescued a lot of animals. In high school, I started working in a vet’s office and discovered this to be my area of interest. It is always so rewarding!

Why did you decide to become a vet tech?

I originally decided to be a vet tech because of my love for animals. Since being a vet tech, I have stayed in the industry because there is never a dull moment, I learn new things every day, and more than anything I like being the voice for animals.

Why did you decide to work in the veterinary field?

I started working here right after graduating from Ball State. At the time, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I started in the kennel and absolutely fell in love with this field. I love the variety of things I get to do here and it is an honor to be a part of so many patients’ and clients’ stories.
